Estate Planning - Wills, Estates & Trusts

Morris & Morris LLP has an excellent reputation in preparing Wills, Trusts, and in assisting our clients in their future estate planning. A Will is a last declaration of your wishes ranging from property and guardianship of children to funeral services. A Will provides a clear expression as to the manner in which your estate will be distributed. Without a properly drafted Will or power of attorney, Ontario law will decide who will receive and manage your money and property, meaning your wishes may be effectively silenced. With a carefully prepared Will, you will determine how your affairs will be settled.
At Morris & Morris LLP we take pride in tailoring our clients’ Will to their specific needs, wishes, and life situations. Over the years, our firm has assisted our clients in reviewing, analyzing, and drafting any or all of the following as part of their overall estate planning:

- Will and Powers of Attorney for Personal Care and Property

- Interpretation and analysis of wills and trust documents

- Limited power of attorney for property while absent from Canada

- Secondary or multiple Wills for specific assets

- Living Wills

- International Will for assets outside of Canada

- Family Trust, testamentary trust and/or Henson (disability) trust

- Estate freeze and/or spousal rollover for family-owned closely-held corporations

- Butterfly share transactions for family-owned closely-held corporations, allowing for orderly succession of next-generation shareholders and management
